This summer Gashland EPC is thrilled to be hosting Kanakuk Kampout on July 24th-28th! KampOut is a five-day traveling summer camp for ages 5-12 that will bring all the fun and excitement of a summer camp right here to Gashland! The camp has an inflatable obstacle course, water slide, slip-n-slides, Euro Bungee, rock wall, zip line, Octaball, daily Bible studies, high-energy worship, and most importantly a mission to connect kids and families to Jesus and the church for the sake of the gospel. The camp will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day. The cost of the camp is $250.00, but please don’t let the cost be a hindrance to your child coming. Scholarships are available to those in need.

Where can I get more information about KampOut!?

What to Bring/Not to Bring to KampOut
What to Bring: Lunch, Bible and Pen, Backpack, Swimsuit (Modest One Piece for girls), Towel, Sunscreen, Water Shoes for Water Activities, Tennis Shoes (for all activities), Water Bottle
What NOT to Bring: Radios or iPods, Water Guns, Cell Phones, Please no clothing advertising alcohol, tobacco, etc.
Pack a Safe Lunch!
1. Lunches will be kept inside, but may not be in refrigerators.
2. Wash hands before preparing your sack lunch.
3. Use a non-toxic insulated lunch bag.
4. Keep hot foods hot & cold foods cold, using thermal jars & cold packs.
5. Pack less perishable foods, due to the summer heat.
If you have peanut products in lunch, please label on outside.
How do we send medications for our Kampers?
Place medications in a plastic bag along with instructions on an index card. All medications must be in the original container.
What to Wear
We recommend that you send your child to KampOut! in clothes that can get dirty. Remember this is a summer camp environment and we may have activities that cause your child to get wet or dirty. Your child should be in summer attire, and no flip-flops or sandals.
Is sporting equipment provided, or do we send our child’s personal equipment?
All sporting equipment will be provided for your Kamper. There is no need to send sports equipment. Personal gear can be used, but there is limited storage space and Kanakuk Ministries cannot be held liable for loss or damage to personal sports equipment.
Do boys and girls interact with each other?
There are a few limited co-ed events. These include things like K-Life praise and worship and parties. However, they do not participate in sports together.
Drop Off & Pick Up Information
Check-In Starts at 8:40 am Each Day
On Tuesday morning, follow the signs to ‘Check-In’. At the KampOut! “Headquarters”, you will find out your child’s tent number, ask questions, and fill out any additional paperwork if needed. After checking in at Headquarters, you will be able to meet your child’s counselor for the week and say your goodbyes! After Tuesday, curbside drop off will be allowed.
Pick-Up at 4:00 pm Each Day
Pick up will happen at your child’s tent each day. A Photo ID is REQUIRED to check out Kampers. If someone other than the Kamper’s parents are picking up the child, you must fill out a Pick Up Approval Form.
Registration/Payment Info
When is my final payment due?
Final payments are due on March 1st. For enrollments after March 1st, full payment is due at the time of registration. You can check your balance, set-up monthly payments or make a payment by visiting Www.Mykanakuk.Com
Can I pay with a Credit Card?
Yes! We can accept checks, electronic checks, or you may pay using your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
How do I make changes to my registration?
Email reg@kanakuk.com with your Kamper’s name, Kamp and term they are registered for, and your requested change.
Tent Mate Requests
How Many People Are Able to Request the Same Group?
Participants are able to request to be paired with another participant. Participants can request to be linked with up to 3 Kampers.
How Do I Make a Tent Mate Request for KampOut Day Kamp?
You can find this request online during the registration process and it can be accessed anytime up to the Sunday before the Kamp starts (July 3rd).
Please note: The language on the application mirrors Kanakuk’s overnight kamp and will say “Roommate Request.”
Once a participant requests a “roommate” the other participant will receive an email and will need to confirm that request in order for the request to be approved.
