The Worship Team seeks to lead the people of Gashland to exalt God by encouraging them to look “to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2) The Worship Team’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the orderly implementation of biblically-based Christ-centered worship services focused on God’s redemptive work for sinful people thru the death and resurrection of God the Son, Jesus Christ. The Worship Team will serve to meet this responsibility in the following ways:

1. 1. 1. 1. Worship Services: Working in a subordinate role to the pastor, the Worship Team will provide spiritual and practical oversight for the coordination, planning, preparation and implementation of all worship services and elements.  This oversight includes weekly Sunday morning worship and special worship services. It includes the worship elements of music, communion, baptism, encouragement of regular and punctual congregational attendance, officer scheduling for order-of-service participation and prayer ministry after services.

2. 2. 2. 2. Stewardship/Giving: The Worship Team will oversee, coordinate, and give guidance to the congregation in stewardship and giving as an act of worship.

3. 3. 3. 3. Prayer Ministry: The Worship Team will seek to encourage prayer as an integral and vibrant part of all worship experiences at Gashland.
